I've heard that somewhere before, "the difference between men and boys is the price of their toys"

Someone crashed an airplane WAY out at the club today and by chance, they wondered by the Jumper 260 I lost out there like 2 months ago..

A crash from easily 100+ feet and after sitting in a open field through all the rain we've had the last couple months... Honestly, I'm surprised how well it held up... No motors seized, all the electronics look in decent shape with minimal corrosion and really the only thing that looked really bad was the RF shield on the VTX and all of the screws..

Yeah, wouldn't have been too much longer till they mowed the field out there. Was pretty damn lucky that someone else was unlucky enough to have to go out there and found it.

attaching a pic here so I can PM it to someone. Need to get these made up for a 3D printer..

I went over everything last night and literally everything is still in good shape to fly. Except one motor that was already bad before i lost it. Now it's totally bad. You can just see the heat damage to the copper coils inside. I think I'll go ahead and order a new motor and ESC then drop this stuff into the spare Vengeance frame that I have.

Very cool at night. If I ever need a new FPV camera, I will look into that one.

What is the voltage meter in the lower left corner telling us? Is it created by the camera? And how accurate is it? Thanks!

Thank you.

That isn't part of the camera. It's all part of the on screen display. The voltage is a voltage sensor technically on my Naze32 flight controller. Which uses a serial connection similar to USB to communicate with the on screen display. Which of course puts the info up on the screen to see. The OSD actually has it's own voltage sensor if you wanted to wire direct to the OSD. But since I'm using a flight controller that can communicate, it tells the OSD things like voltage, current draw if you have a sensor hooked up, GPS satellite info if your using it, Barometer altitude data, and a couple other things. Of course that is also how the OSD creates the artificial horizon in the center of the screen.

In these videos it wasn't very accurate. It was reading like 12.4v when the pack was 12.6. So the voltage warnings would go off sooner than they should and under heavy loads they could go on at the beginning of the flight at full throttle, etc. There are adjustments to get it more accurate. Which I think I've done now. But when flying you see the voltage under load. So accuracy doesn't really have to be perfect. Just close as possible.
