By the way, the avatar is my first plank with the new box shape spar. Here is the airfoil ClarcYS. This is thick enough to get a good stifness. It flies really easy and when you wish, like a little hotliner. Wingspan 2,5 m, weight app. 1,8 kg complete.

A lot of new unconventional ideas went in this design. Box shape spar, side cover at fuselage, cooling exit at the rear, variable motor down thrust. etc.

It does, actually it would not take much of a bash to turn it into a pterodactyl type model

Well, it's taken awhile, but I finally got my Blohm und Voss 219.01 operational and had a successful maiden flight. Just the Luft ' 46 paint job and a few finishing touches and she'll be finished.

Haha - sorry guys I should have explained. This is just a fantasy project I knocked up based on the X-8 FPV ship that BEVRC and HobbyKing sell. The winglets are from a HK Parkjet. The model is my idea of what might have been developed from the B&V 215 turbojet nightfighter if the Luftwaffe was faced with defending against high flying B-29s in 1946. I had read about how some aircraft designers were looking at using large turbo/supercharged piston engines rather than jet engines for high altitude fighters as the range of jets at the time was limited.

Should have clocked that with the curve to the tips

This wing I made goes over 200km/h, according to the installed GPS, nice surprise !
