Yes, that works very well. I've used two RX's to control both plane and a remote bungee launcher. Would be very interesting to see the complete setup.

however you need to add over 1dB loss before you are able to measure
a slight loss of range. this means about one extra meter if the cable is the 316 type, it is about 3mm thick.
so the short version : YES you can make the coax longer.

you can bind infinitive many to the same TX :-)
and use them at the SAME time.
this trick is often used to doly steering
remote bungee launchers as boopidoo said
and for RC Parachute Jumpers.
We tried one more variation: to merge student input
into free unused channels, via mixers, and then fly TWO planes
at the same time via only ONE TSLRS TX..
you can actually do this 4 times,
lets say the most simple plane you got use only 3 channels,
then 3 x 4 = 12 channels..
