Newest walkera V100D08 A block buster?
Again a good question. Check my videos and share you opinions.
As per my own opinion goes. I flew V100D03 and then V100D08 and I find that though V100D03 with WK-2801 Pro radio can do lots of 3D but still V100D08 offers more power, more head speed and better stability doing 3D.
Its durable too and total flying weight with battery is just 63g wow ain't that something
Some people asked me to compare it with mcpx. I have it and i flown it too, but again comparing something new to something old doesn't make sense. You want a comparison review, well watching videos and flying one all by yourself can easily tell you which one is better.
Walkera has come a long way and I like their new mini indoor helis and performance they offer. Of course there are things need to be improved and I am sure with feedback from users like us, Walkera will do those improvements asap.
on our maiden flight we managed to break battery tray, and tail rotor but thats not a biggie. Best thing is the thing keeps flying and keeps ripping 3D without problems.
Check the videos and share your opinion. Would love to hear from people what do they think of new V100D08

Great job flying!
The V100D08 looks nice and does 3D well in your videos.
Don't know if I would want the brushed or brushless version. Pro's and con's of both.
The new DEVO transmitters sound like they are going to be a real good radio.

I have still written that on the V100D08 thread:
If you go on Walkera.com and you compare the V120D06 with the V100D08 you will see it's the same helicopters (rotor head, frame, servos, motors) the difference is only the size of blades and size of tail boom.
So if you have a 2801 Pro and you want this heli... just buy a V120D06 and change the blades. And if you don't like the red V120D06 canopy, put a green, blue or yellow V100D08 canopy.
In my point of vue, the V100D08 is a commercial argument for the Devo 8... But it's just a V120D06 renamed.
And for a comparison of V120D06 and Blade mCP X. Here the video of a good pilot. For a beginner: the Blade is really a crashproof model… It can make the difference. You need nearly no spare parts in 500 crashes and 200 flies with the Blade (one swash plate, one main gear, some plastic links, and a 1 meter CF tube for tail boom, that all). For me everybody need a Blade mCP X for learning and flying everywhere (even with wind). The Walkera is more a second machine when you still fly well and you want something different (more power but more fragility). And you need spare with Walkera (main blades, tail blades, main gear,...
It's easy to make a crashproof little heli with a Walkera. Here a video of my V100D03BL reinforced (but not enought for the moment). I have the impress that Walkera doesn't take care of what should be a beginner heli.
