aerial videos of campus/Louisiana

Hi there!
I am new in the AP "hobby". I have been flying for the past 3 years after a pause of roughly 5 years. However I discovered quite late about the possibility to make aerial photos/videos.

So here it goes my first two movies:
http://baton.phys.lsu.edu/~jslutsky/airvideo/

First movie is shoot with the camera on top of the wing while the second movie is shoot with the camera under the wing.

Be aware that the movies are rather large: 36 Mb first one and 60 Mb second one...

Best regards,

Cool stuff! That thing really moves out. Are you flying some kind of a Wing? What camera?

BTW, was that the Superdome in the background? I always love spotting landmarks in my pics and video...

Nope that is the Pete Maravich Center on the LSU campus - Geaux Tigers!!!

Great video - haven't been back to BR in a long time - brought back a bunch of good memories (class of 1990!)

Hi!

Yes, that is Pete Maravich Assembly Center It is nice to see that there are other "Tigers" on this board! I just graduated this May. Geaux Tigers!

I was flying a "flying wing" (a kit from CombatWings) 47 inches wingspan propelled with a Brushless (a little bit more powerful than a Speed 400) and an 8 cell NiMh battery pack.

The movie was taken with a HP 435 Photosmart camera- it is quite heavy bu the wing handled the weight very well!
