Universal Fuselage Parkflyer Pete

Based off of the Parkflyer Pete and Universal Fuselage at RCGroups.com

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107624
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128785

34" wingspan 6" dihedral
26.25" long
2204 brushless motor
8x4.3 sf prop
2s1p 750 mAh Lipo
Rudder, elevator and throttle. No ailerons.
Weighs 7.5 oz or 214 grams.

I always liked the way the Parkflyer Pete flew. I built it my first one way back in 2004, it was my second airplane as I learned to fly.

Recently I got a buddy box and built this version for my dad to try and learn to fly on. Hopefully it eliminates having to retrieve planes from the trees or pond, lol.

Universal Fuselage Parkflyer Pete (5 min 0 sec)

Wow, that's a blast from the past! Looks great and floats fine! I still have my pink foam (salvaged from a dumpster) Pete. Periodically look at it and ponder reinstalling gear....

It looks like the plans link is gone. Does anyone have a file they could send, or to post as an attachment here?

Here are the Parkflyer Pete Plans and the Universal fuselage plans.

On the Universal Fuselage plans I used the 25" version with about 2 5/16" (rechecked this and it was really around 2 7/8") removed from the rear.

Curious , the original Universal fuselage drawing was the same size as the Pete ... which was where I got it from ... Guess Hippo enlarged it a bit in translation..

Hey Gpw, I am going through my files and printed plans to find your plans that where lost. I posted some on the scratch build plans thread recently and if everybody out there checks their downloads , we should be able to save most of them I hope. What worked in the past, will still work today and besides the old saying " Whats old is new again " keeps happening. This build might spark a revival of the Pete, how long was the original thread? OG did a nice job of building his Pete and looks awesome in the air. I plum forgotten the Uni- Fuse and using it on the Pete was a nice touch that worked great. Great job !

OF , many Thanks !!! I thought those were gone forever... So many Fun planes lost when that site went away ... and not only mine ...
The Universal Fuselage worked out for a lot of planes ..

And another UF plane , and a Crop duster almost direct from the Pete plans , and a pic of the original Pete ... from some time ago ... BTW, the original Pete held up for a long time and many flights.... I ended up giving it away .. My OFB still has it ...

Sure got my Fun’s worth out of the Pete design ...

That would be Easy really ... We made the Big Pete , which flew wonderful ... wouldn’t be much of a stretch to make a Big UF and Pawnee ...
