We're looking at doing a new event for EFEST this year. What do you think about a micro soccer tournament? If there's enough interest we'll make a miniature soccer field, have 2 man teams and the winners will receive a cash prize.

Criteria:
Micro quads or helis or combination thereof
2 man teams
A match time limit would be imposed
Ball: Ping pong ball
The ball would be blown around with rotor wash to score a goal.

If you think there'd be enough participation, we'll proceed with construction.

Sounds interesting Frank. I'd suggest, to make the playing field more equal, that you have either 1) seperate matches for helis and quads or 2) mixed teams of a heli and a quad.

I think also the question was raised in one of the other threads about changes to the rotor size of helis. The size mentioned didn't seem quite right.

At least for this first year, I'd like to keep it somewhat flexible as there's no way of determining how many or what guys would be bringing.

In regards to the heli size the the limit is 130mm blade length/class. There was a typo in the size originally, but that's been corrected.

I think this is a fun idea, lets just see how it goes without overthinking it. I have a Nano CPx and I believe Scott will have an mCPx to fly with. seems to be about right.
