F35b plans FREE!!!!!!

It will probably be another 10 years before I build mine so I thought I would share my plans for a 1:9th scale which uses 3 90mm EDF's.

Plans are in corel draw format and I would appreciate if anybody could convert to DXF or another usable format for all to use.

There are quite a few layers and the design took about 2 years to complete, still dont know if it works.

Enjoy......

Andy

Hi Andy,

I gave it my best shot, but I was unable to convert it to a usable DXF or DWG file.

I was able to open it in Adobe Illustrator, so I could see and appreciate all your hard work.

I was able to open the file with Illustrator CS3 without any issues except for an unrecognized font.

Same here with Illustrator CS4. I was able to zoom in and look at the plans. The problem was when I tried to export it to DXF/DWG. The resultant artwork was unusable because all of the curves were distorted.

Andy,

I am able to convert the file over to an Adobe Illustrator format and it preserves the layers. If you'd like a copy of the file, let me know.

I am able to save it in any version of Illustrator up to CS4.

Thanks for sharing! Very generous of you. I don't have any s/w that can open the files, so I'll defer to otehrs for conversion.

I had my test bed worked with 2 90mm fans and a 60mm ducted out to the wing tips with a micro servo opening and closing the ducting to control roll. I need an airframe to try it all out in, but think I would do a quick and dirty foam version first.

First Hover Test
90mm F-35 Test Bed Succesful Hover!!! (0 min 42 sec)

Tweaking the gyro
90mm F-35 test hover 2 (0 min 44 sec)

Roll Test
F-35 Roll Duct Testing (0 min 36 sec)

I opened the file in Inkscape: no texts but the drawings probably have everything. Not real easy to read

Here's a PDF file:
