Finally got back in the air today after 7 days at work. Of course by the time I got to the field it was blowing 10-12mph. Just didn't care, looks like it may be the only good day all weekend. Maidened the new PZ Corsair. It flew so nice I had to run 5 more packs threw before calling it a day and coming home only to see the wind go dead calm. Shocker! Crosswinds had the Corsair wagging its tail pretty hard, just took that to mean it was happy and kept on going. The stall on this one is so straight forward I could have just floated it down from 100ft pointed into the wind and holding full up el. The new E-Flite retracts work like a champ.

Drool. In less than 30 days i'll have one of those corsairs too. Just bought two hyperion 3s 2200's for it today.

I left a post elsewhere mentioning I grabbed one from the shelf at my LHS yesterday. Took it to the counter and asked for the retracts. They didn't have them. Deal breaker!
Left empty handed, went home and pulled the trigger on a FMS B25 Mitchell.

I still want the Corsair, just have to have retracts fitted from Day one.

You're going to like this one. Like the other PZ's in this size I think they are a bit overpriced for the size, but the quality is there so as soon as it breaks ground I start forgetting about what I payed. It also gets a bit easier to forget the price when you can have less than perfect landings and nothing breaks. I can't say the same about some of the cheaper models out there.

Grazer: Retracts have finally hit Aus so you should be able to get them soon. I'm glad I waited till I got mine for the maiden. I probably wouldn't have been as happy with it if I had to look at gear hanging. This bird really needs to be flown wheels up to get the full effect. Actually IMO that goes for all Warbirds, but this one in particular for me. Only time I like the look of the Corsair wheels down is on final.

Finally a day off tomorrow and the weather looks like it's going to be pretty good. I'm all charged up. Hoping to maiden my Eflite T-34 Mentor.

Damn it was windy today. Trekked 24 miles to the club only to have my planes blown off the table and damaged before they even took off. Finally decided I had to try to fly the Polaris foamy since it is the one I'd be least sad if I crashed. Flew one 5 minute flight that was mostly just battling wind. Drove home and flew it again in a park with slightly less wind and got attention/question from random guy. Seems like the Polaris is a real attention getter. Probably because you can hear it from far away unlike most of the other small electrics I've flown in parks.

Been flying all week, lucky and almost guilty but, we all work hard for our fly time. I have been debugging the 1.4m FMS P47 kit I put together. Tomorrow it will swing a 15x10 on a 700kv motor on 5s. Buckle up!

Two weeks of no flying ... this is unacceptable!

Well, luckily a little rainstorm passed by this town a couple of hours ago, leaving behind perfect weather. No wind, no sun to blind my eyes...

I'm going out to get my Porter up.

Had a really great session with guys I have only recently met on RCGroups. We got together and spent a good 5 hours out in the sun today.
The highlight was getting 3 x SE5a together today. I took some photos of them on the ground, then we flew them all together. Fantastic fun!

One of my most enjoyable flying days yet.
