Looks like Banggood's US Warehouse has them.

Repaint/split hull from deck plate

Does anyone have a technique on how to split the top -deck piece from the hull.
I tried removing the 4 screws holding the deck plate to the hull but both halves are still firmly together.

Thanks. I wasn't sure. Looks like I'll just use more masking tape for the Airbrush deck repaint.

Try to find a threaded prop for that shaft .
I had to make a custom shaft that extended a few mm to get a dog lug on the shaft and then a non threaded prop of larger size. It works great.

My mate bought 2,we are in Australia and his is called a Atomic Lighning bolt, his boats go great and are quite fast.I found a FT009 on ebay and it looked exactly the same for half the price so I bought one but his are way faster.Im hoping it is just the prop as everything else looks the same.I doubt mine would have a higher turn motor.Atleast I hope not.Has anyone tried a rebuildable 27 turn stock motor or similar?I have many from my past car racing, hoping the ESC can handel it,might try that next.

I just did it ....... now....the top is a U shape .facing down over a backward L shape on the bottom facing out...
pullup on the narrow sides near the back till u see a space(IF YOU cannot...STOP Now...You Boat is not leaking Yet) than carefully pry open with a thin tool first the while keeping split with a thin long rod right across pulling it along as you go ...danger the front on mine would not separate due to the glued rods x3 in the fount .......have a look first...so just leave it and go as far as you can on the rest ...gap fill from out side if ness later

This Worked........(just run a bead of no more gaps .along the U and rejoin to reseal the boat) is water clean up ...white and reopen-able....I hope ha ha.. have fun

This Worked.......Re-Sealing-the Stuffing box(Brass Tube)

my green boat is now water tight,,,,,after scraping off with a knife, the lid to fit the seal and bending up a bit, the closing hooks (careful not to melt seal) with heat and pressure

splitting the cases (top/bottom) and resealing with no more gap sealer ...worked great .....see above

and also replacing the prop shaft /stuffing box (brass tube) for a better fitting one with water cooler added (was needed for higher rev's on green s3 mod only)

and getting ride of NEARLY all the prop shaft slack (fowrd/ backward movement) had to add a washer to motor end and spacer as required at prop ends.....of stock
to help keep grease in

now using a bit of plastic tube with the edge slightly angled (to help get on) with a tight fit on prop shaft/stuffing box tube , and a syringe to force grease up the prop shaft from the prop end after removing it
most of the noise is gone and no more leak into the boats though there
good luck have fun
