Mr Glassman's RC4WD Trailfinder 2

This is a preview of RC4WD's new Trailfinder 2 kit with Mojave body. Which should be available by Febuary. First off I'd like to thank RC4WD for the opportunity to get my hands on this top notch kit!

When available you can get one here:
Trail Finder 2 Truck Kit w/Mojave Body Set

First off I had to take photo's of this packaging, It's of very high quality in it's printing and very well packed! (this box is a keeper)

The instructions are very well drawn out and very detailed way to go RC4WD!

Here's all the contents out on the table very well packaged:

and after opening the bags I was impressed on how well everything is bagged and individualy marked:

Here is a little comparison of the new "HAMMER" transfer case with the killer transfercase. So much detail! I use to think that the killer t case was pretty scale until I look at it next to this bad boy!

Here's some inside shots, RC4WD really did their homework on this! Just look at all that beef compared to the killer. You can see how much more thicker the small gear is not to mention their hardened!:

All of this goodness and a weight savings as well!:

The transmission is top notch!

Here's a comparison with a planetary transmission:

and of course I had to tear it open and look at the gears:

Beefy and well greased too!
She's a runner!

The first thing I could say for this kit from RC4WD is that it is very
well laid out and the instructions are top notch with very detailed
drawings that could walk even the novice builder through in a evening
to a running chassis.

I would say I have 5 hours in to this rig (thats including being to anal and
spending a couple hours on wiring, not to mention tearing things apart to look inside:twisted

For the electronics:

JR 9100 for the steering
Hitec 645mg for shifting
Holmes BR-XL (there's no other choice"thumbsup")
integy v10 55t motor

Got a chance to drive it on the carpet and all I can say is WOW!
This thing is a great runner and the gears shifted ultra smooth even
on the fly. It steered very well and didn't notice much bumpsteer if
none at all.

Body is painted, it was kinda funny to paint a yellow body white then back to yellow. I figured the white would help make the yellow "pop" a little and help to block light from shining through the body so it won't look like plastic.

I also got these awesome decals made for it on short notice from The Crawl Space here in Colorado! Can't say thanks enough!

Also painted the grill, dash, lenses and steering wheel (all included in the kit)

For the dash I went with a tan color I felt was a color that would have been used back in the day. The included decals for the dash are top notch and a very appreciated addition to this kit"thumbsup"
