I had a Seniorita, about 62 inches, and a great flier also. Good choice to start with.
Do you have any grassy slopes near, to fly gliders? Some of these glider kits are stunning, and most have ailerons. http://www.gravesrc.com/ABM_MINIMOA_..._p/abmg106.htm 3.5m Minimoa 6.5lb fiberglass fuselage and balsa built-up wings. Kit. $300.00 A scale trainer? http://www.advantagehobby.com/34520/...A0160/?cat=163 T-38 trainer, 80”, 10-14lb, $229 Biplane flavor? http://www.eurekaaircraft.com/airplanes/jbipe.htm J-Bipe balsa kit. Great flying, 7lb, 55” $109.00 SIG Astro Hog 54” biplane kit, 7-8lb, $159.00 19oz/ft^2 . Original plane was the Astro-Hog. Ailerons are great, as you can side slip to dump off elevation in a controlled way. Good luck choosing a kit. You're in the big electric motor size. |
