3 x 2830 13 870kv??? this frame doesn't have the means to control yaw with a Y3 setup. maybe a Y4?

Yes, the frame will happily clear 12" propellers, probably anything up to about 16".
The skids are part of the frame, but they could be cut off. The skids do actually look pretty good though. A fair amount of spring and seems pretty tough.

Nice build log spydmobile ...... neat feature is that the battery tray is reversible .... forward if the camera gimble is not used, or back if the camera setup is fitted, balancing the Y6 nicely.

Yes I did. looks good, fits together really well. Servos supplied are pretty ordinary. Will try them out and see how they go. There is some play in the gimbal around neutral, but maybe a rubber band to "pre-tension" will fix that. time will tell.

I've just received my kit and I'm trying to remove the paper without scratching the material. I've tried soking in water and then removing it with a non scratch scourer and although it works its hard not to mark the surface. Anyone got a better idea?

Nice, are you twisting a GoPro with it? How about a picture onboard?
I am posting pics from last nights build session, its not flying yet but maybe one more session and she can fly. when the pics are up I will repost my link, had to drill my own holes for TMF Pro FC since the frame is predisposed to KK style 45 degree off mounting

I was using a nail brush, the little white kind you use to get dirt out from your fingernails, I was also using .60 Nylon guitar pick (Jim dunlop type) that worked well but if you are not carefull is marks it. You could alwyas use a pressure washer

Use hot water out of the tap, and some dish washing detergent in the water. leave the pieces for 15 mins or so and the paper just falls off. A finger nail will deal with whats left.

I have the choice of either a canon still camera or a contour hd video camera. The frame has direct mounts for the openpilot board, so simply bolt on nylon spacers and go.
