Hi Niall,

I have a standard JR PPM receiver and with the ESC's directly connected, the ESC's arms immediately.

I used to have a Corana RX, and yes, they do take a while to start up. This is generally the case with PCM receivers... PCM receivers do take longer as they need to look for a "good" signal... PPM ones just take what they get

My JR is immediate.

Does anyone know if the files etc for this version of the board will be available to DIY?

i like the look of the pictures , looks like the frame could be quiet nice.

Also i couldnt see any mention of Rolfe or Kaptainkuk there anywhere

wish i could read what ever language the website is in, theres probably a link there somewhere.
yes it looks like a shop. the schematic of the pcb is the same but he added pads for the LYPR540 and the small version of the enc-03r piezo gyros.
try the google translater to read parts of the site..

Hi there,

i got a question as i had the ccw and cw props here. Well, it is obviously a dumb question, do the moter of the ccw prop also turns ccw? I have wired it so that this happens, but perhaps my understanding is wrong and only the prop has to be ccw but the motor turns cw ...

Jens, I'm just starting my project so someone else with more experience can comment, but yes I believe those two motors with spin in a CCW motion.

Looks good... I will be very interested in seeing how these ST gyros work out. They will knock a third off the build cost for the controller.

V6 Through Hole 5 x 5 cm double sided PCB

For the caps can we resume this?

C1,2,3,4,9,10,11: 100nF ceramic capasitor. no polarization (small caps)
C7: electrolyte or tantalum with a value of 10uF and upwards.
C5,6,8: 0.68uF Tantalum.

So they exists!

You can carefully straighten the legs of the 5.08mm to make them fit into 2.54 spacing. The max diameter of the caps exept C7 and C9 is 5mm. C7 and C9 is 6mm.

Also alternative values of the caps is:

C1,2,3: 0.68uF to ca 100uF. Or 100nF ceramic cap.

C5,6,8: 0.68uF.

C7,9: I have done a bit of reading on decoupling caps, as I should have done before Until now I have used my design practice ("Tantalums is the st, ceramic caps not needed", "Larger is better" and "what do I have in my box?")
The correct value and type of the C9 cap is 100nF ceramic cap. The C7 can be a electrolyte or tantalum with a value of 4.7uF and upwards.

C4,10,11: 100nF ceramic cap.

The 100nF is available in 2.54 spacing

So this chaos boils down to:

C1,2,3,4,9,10,11: 100nF ceramic capasitor.
C7: electrolyte or tantalum with a value of 10uF and upwards.
C5,6,8: 0.68uF Tantalum.

Looks good?

Just finalized my build - Great board KapteinKUK!!!! So Stable - And what a great match with Jakub's frame - Still tweaking settings and added a Fy20a (not that this board really needs it!) Anyway - I am using 11x3.8 cw & ccw props (12x3.8 cut down) - Getting about 9 minutes of flight time on a 3s2200 pack - video later -
