Spektrum DX 18 setup for 4-servo wings
Okay, I'm a newbie with these programmable Tx's. I'm having difficulty making heads or tails about what/how to mix for a 4-servo wing. Model is a Spirit 100 w/ independent servos for ailerons and flaps on each panel. I'm looking for a "plain Jane" configuration that works. If I can get thru that, I figure I'll learn some basics before venturing out and experimenting.
I have gone thru the "Sailplane type" set-up which got me me thru Rx Chanel assignments of
5=>Rt Flap (This appears to me to be the "gear" channel on the Rcvr)
6=>Left Flap (This appears to be the Aux1 channel on the Rcvr)
I worked my way thru servo set-up and mixing as:
Mix 1 Ail>LAL
At this point I get rudder, elevator, and right aileron, and hard deflection on the right flap.
I suspect I'm missing some set-up for transmitter assignments, but I cannot make heads or tails about what needs to be done from the manual.
Has anyone used one of the DX 18's successfully?

Edit: Thank you for the vector! I found Sherman Knight's excellent write-up/guide for what I am trying to do.
