At the moment I only have molds for the WWI British pilot... built for Hammerd's awesome BE12a --- I think he's about 1/8 or 1/9 scale.

But I will be making molds of all of them... I've just been busy doing home remodeling for the last year and have been sidetracked from the hobby.

I would like to eventually do a full series of 1/8 scale WWI and WW2 pilots... German, French, British, US, Japan, Russian. I just hope HobbyKing doesn't beat me to it.

Boy , if someone can model pilot heads in Rhino or other programs I have a Rolland mill that i can use to mill waxes with cast them and take a mold to cast them in something light weight. Or just take a silicon mold of the wax.Joe

The Camel is about 1/8.5 scale - so he is the right scale. It would need trimmed to the correct height to fit the false bottom of the cockpit. Or, you could remove the false cockpit and make a deeper cockpit if the fuselage permits.

I've been watching the new bush pilot show on the Discovery Channel, Flying Wild Alaska. (I think National Geographic has one too.)
That's inspired me to try a bush pilot next.

Maybe that will encourage me to finish that cub that has been hanging unfinished from my ceiling for the past few years.

I have the E-flite Cub 25 that I have mostly assembled, plus an old gasser biplane that'sthe same scale... so I think I need to make a couple of civilians for those.

Hi guys!

This is My latest pilot depicting a Swedish Airforce pilot.

It's in 1/12 scale. Made of PU-resin outside, PU-foam inside.

Weight approx. 20 gr.

Hope You like them.......

i just went through this thread for the first time today. your pilots are fantastic. it adds another dimension to an rc plane to have a full realistic pilot instead of a half one with no arms, especially for open cockpit aircraft.

Hi guys!

Anybody here that use pulyurethane resin for casting?

My big problem is that the PU don't stick to the silicone mold very well.

That means I have to cast My pilots two times, and even then it's not really
good,.....I hava ratio of 1 to five castings that is successfull.

Really timeconsuming

So I need Your help!!!

Please anybody???!!!!
