New Product
Graupner/SJ Polaron EX 2ch 7S 2x20A Charger

I never thought that a battery charger would invoke that many positive remarks from friends including my spouse! This new Polaron charger made by Graupner/SJ is not only a real looker, but performs as well as my Hyperion DUO i740 charger but does more and is very easy to use!. I bought this charger not only for its looks and specifications but also for its compact and easy to store size. The color and touch screen is amazing and very easy to use. Setting up charge profiles and navigating through the menus is as easy and fast as using Apps on my iPhone!

The first charging I did were my Hyperion 7S 4200mAh batteries. Setting up the charge profile took a few seconds and I was up and charging each battery separately at 3C. What was noticeable is that the cooling fans were producing almost no noise.

The charger comes with all the cables and balancing boards needed including 2 temperature probes! The balancing boards were JST but I could use my existing Hyperion boards for charging. The board plugs are compatible with the supplied Graupner cables.

It also has a build in servo and motor tester as well as LiPo and car wheel heater. The LiPo heater is a welcome addition which I will use to have my 10S F5B batteries pre-heated for performance.

There is also software available to monitor charging on your PC via a USB cable connection which I have not tried yet.

Good stuff!!

More to come!

Is there any way I can get my hands on one of these? We are getting ready to have a grand opening in our brand new indoor short course facility and would love to showcase this unit.

Andreas, since Graupner/SJ is a German company I would assume that like most of their products that are multi lingual the Polaron will have multiple languages settings as well. The model I have right now has a language menu with English only but That will most likely change.

Google Polaron EX and you will find several companies in Korea that are stocking them or wait till they are stocked in the US or Europe.

I have an external power supply already. Can I use it rather than buy their power supply that snaps on the side?

Yes, you can use your own power supply for as long as it meets the power requirements needed to charge your batteries.

The charger is supplied with a pair of cables for connecting the charger to a power source.
