What they need is more laws, inspectors and bureaucracy. If only they had a super government with 34,000 pages of regulations...

Oh wait.

Well no, if I read him right, the people who run the company and make profit from it can do no wrong, the workers for the companies where the ones he would blame, especially anyone who is in a union, whether or not they had anything to do with the crime of miss selling horse as beef.
The truth is horse was sold as beef, fraudulently, to make more profit for the company.
It was not done for any other reason, but to make more money than would have been by acting in a legal manner.
Profit is a Capitalist concept, not Socialist, it was Capitalist greed that led to this criminal act.

I agree that meat is meat. Unless it's primate meat. That's where I draw the line.

Same here; if you can't identify it before you skin it, don't eat it!

I was in Puerto Inirida in Colombia. I went into this little cafe looking for supper. The lady told me all they had was lapara. I didn't know what lapara was, so I asked her if is was a monkey. She said no, it is an animal that lives on the ground. OK, it was quite good. I later found out that a lapara is similar to an agouti. Both rodents, but not exactly rats.

IMO this horse meat thing only scratches the surface of the corruption on food supply.

People , company, corporations, government(s), all just as guilty as the next. The Only person I trust is my neighbor..... but he got locked up for selling his cows raw fresh milk. We now buy the Milk as a bath Milk for bathing, and all is good.
