So it's not a rumor anymore. How cool! I like the different color scheme.
Looking forward to the build thread. Anyone doing a build video?
Glanced at the instruction manual. Intersting CA is used as opposed to Welders on EPP....

It's the same with RC-factorys own manuals for the 32" planes. Welders or UHU Por is the superior glue for this plane, in my opinion.

I have this motor collecting dust, seems like this airframe would be a perfect home for it.

NO rumor! The 47" is here and looks pretty cool.

Regarding the use of CA on this model. According to David Kyjovsky from RC Factory, he recommends using CA on the carbon fuse stiffeners which are embedded into the fuse. They found that because there is so little surface for them to adhere to the EPP that CA does a better job than A Welders type glue in keeping a good glue bond. He says Welders works just fine on the rest of the model. We are recommending Ca only on the fuse carbon
stiffeners and Welders on the rest of the build.

They tend to use CA on the entire model over in Europe. I’m am not sure if that is just preference or availability of the Welders s type of adhesive?

Ive been looking at all the epp stuff out there in this size class lately, this one looks really good and the rcfactory planes have always looked well designed and look to fly very well. My questions is the specs on flying weight.. is this plane coming out at the listed 600-700 grams? If so what is the weight of the airframe.. i have a couple gear set ups that should work well and could figure out what id throw in it.

Specs Update

Hey guys,

I just learned that the wingspan is 1240 mm which equals 48.8 inches.

So even though it is a 1.2 meter class plane, it's on the big side of 1.2 m.

And that's a good thing in my eyes.

JC

ps - Twisted site now shows it as a 48" plane instead of 47". 220.. 221... whatever it takes.

Shawn, thank you for doing a thread on this model. We did similar release for a 1.2m SU-29 before and requested modifications in which RcFactory amazed us with an even better construction and flight envelope on this bird.

Get Real, we do not have final weight of model constructed with out gear since we didn't measure this. We should have a more accurate AUW soon.

John, yes sizes were different than originally thought per prototypes etc, web site shows 48" wingspan. She pretty big almost 49"

Yeah, it's like that.

Brad (Twisted Hobbys) always finds a way to exceed your expectations. Usually with outstanding customer service and every now and then more product than you expected.

Just a couple of the reasons I have bought 4 planes from him in 6 months time.

If this keeps up, I may have to ask him to refer me to an exceptional (Twisted Hobbys exceptional) divorce attorney because of all of the airplanes he keeps selling me.

Did I mention the planes keep getting bigger too.
