Planes with broken joiners are supposed to just be shipped to me
It's the new rule I just made up haha.You can just add a wire joiner if you want... I did that on my 70" slick and it has worked out really well... I added a wire on both the top and bottom... I think... if I remember right Looks like you will need to replace your CA hinges as well... those ones are bad now.

Looks to me like not enough CA was used on the hinges to start with allowing them to pull out, which is why the joiner broke....
And, yes, I would replace the joiner. SteveT |

+1, When I busted them on a harrier usually the counterbalance at full up catches the ground and breaks off. On the 51 the joiner is wood, breaks easier, on the 30cc it's phenolic, something else usually breaks first.
