Flat finish for Monocote?
Has anyone found a good flat clear that can be sprayed on monocote/ultracote, etc?
I have tried a couple but they always blush really bad, giving a crappy result!
If you have found a product that works, what was your procedure for prepping the covering before painting?

I've used the steel wool, and highly recommend it. Best done before covering; lay the film on a flat surface (I used a ping-pong table), and pour some non-flammable paint deglosser (ie, glycol based) on it to serve as a lubricant. Be careful of the direction of strokes you take with the steel wool, a cross-hatch will simulate fabric fairly well.

I do not have the address, but John Redman from Horizon Hobbies did an upgrade finish of the 30cc P-47 and he did this very thing, it is all on Youtube.
