New Winch

My new winch is just about done... I need to fabricate the brake are and put on the string. I got this winch kit from Comet Winch Works in Canada about 4 years ago, but time, work, wrong motor, and 2 moves kept me from finishing it... I'll post a few pics when it's completely done.

Darth Carbonator...

Well that's just teasing. Lets see a picture of all the parts, or at least one of the wrong motors, or do we have to wait 4 years?

Here is the one I built. Comet winches are great kits.

That's nicer than mine... Mine has 1/8" mount and end plates and didn't come with a brake, even though I have the same spool. You did a GREAT job of wiring it... My compliments...

Flying on the sodfarm means we dont always have driving access to some of the fields. Our club pres came up with these so we dont have to carry them 200 yds, but I guess theres always ales...

Misnomer

Supple and Jack goes together just like.....well.....oil and water, radioactive materials and humans.....anvils and lighter than air airships....you get my jist!
I'm thinking Jack is just "down on wheels" this month and his physician recently said, "You need more exercise!"
Jack ponders the doctor's advice for awhile and decides, what a concept! Soaring and actual physical activity combined.....just delete wheels or skids for the winch and battery......and there you go.

I'm sure that's the plan.

I'd try rubbing some dog food into the parachute and .....Voila.....instant retriever. All this without the cumbersome batteries, etc. Units are usually self loading and all come equipped with automatic fertilizer spreader and spot irrigation system. YMMV.
