I'm still looking to attend this... but I need to consider the wages loss now as I am now self employed!

I'm thinking that I might take the Friday off, but not the Monday this time.

Will need to arrange this with DaveB if he is going to come along.

Yup I'm coming along - its booked in the family diary, An early friday start works for me. Roll on the Henry Westons my favourite tipple as well

Thatchers Katy is another of my favourites, so will bring to compare.
While on an apple theme, Olivier could bring Normandy Calvados. (Doubles up as emergency 5% nitro for smellyplanes.

My UKAP meet preparations:
I have made the switch to outdoor 2.4Ghz, Spektrum DX8 now loaded with my fave aircraft.
Quad built, flown and awaiting proper legs and camera mount.
2M He motorglider nearing completion, includes underslung foam camera pod.
Camera mended after stupid drop from bag when retrieving from boot of car! What a

ing idiot!

Oh, and most importantly, camping fridge checked for 240V, 12V and gas operation options.

Now we just need the jetstream to drift way off to the North for the whole summer.

Yes I know... but have to say that compared to a tent... well... Gas air flow heating, Gas fired hot water, "water closet", 12v Lights, Oven/Hob and two VERY nice and comfy double beds (one of which can be left as two singles).

Was fantastic at the Nationals last year, which was invariably cold and windy overnight.

Ok Ok... so it's still a caravan!!!

As I will be outnumbered by wheelbrace wielding romany chariot owners, I will button my lip on the subject!

Is the maneouvring remote actually on 2.4, Richard? You could fit a bigger battery to the van along with a suitable quad to lift it into place.

Update.

I had two options for camping... or so I thought.

The offer of the Katrina's Uncles field and the neighbours field. The uncles field is only accessible via a small gate. The neighbours has a large gate. It looks like the one with the small gate is only available now, which is no good for a caravan or camper.

I think I had better look for a proper campsite. There are a few to chose from.
