An I Crashed Thread

I had a crash tonight of my 2nd Herr Cherokee. I hit the fence with it as the first one. Hmmmm a fence curse. I went out, a bit windy then a mini tornado must have passed, the airplane was twisting rocking, dipping all over the place, the wind was obviously in turmoil. When I tried to land, the wind took it away from me and smashed it. I should have it back together with some glue and flying by tomorrow if I were wanting to.

Weird.

Not much to it, I'll wait a few days because it's third in line for work.

True, but you have to land eventually.

If I removed the fence I'd have cows and cow chips to deal with.
I would have had to fly 15 more minutes then it calmed down. Well, it's the 6 million dollar Cherokee. I can rebuild it.

It's mostly back together, a vertical 20 foot dive, snagged the top of the barbwire, tore the wing off and broke the nose off in two pieces at the wing LE.
If the weather lets me I'll fly it tomorrow, but oh well. I'm finding these wings much stronger than a person would think they are.
