Can you tell me how it went and maybe post some pictures? I'm not really worried about 50 grams on a skywalker since I could probably put 3 more of them in my plane and still fly, its such a tank Would be nice to have a softer battery in case of crashing though

Hard case too heavy, if you go 4S, try this one.

If you fly in high fire areas maybe hard shell wouldn't be such a bad idea. I've considered it myself.

And it's actually lighter than turnigy's 5000mah 4s 20c without the shell. Make sense of that

This is not shipping weight, its the real weight for the packs.
The hardcase one:Weight(g) 528
Normal: Weight(g) 536

Lol. Both are 20c.

Ok, but still going to weight then to get the real deal, as I am going to use in my F450 quad and probably in my SW, but alredy have 7 3S 5000mha for it. I was planning to use in my quad but it became too heavy and had to go for a 4S.

Calidave has always had resources to neat minature cameras and photo editing with friends. They also had a fast shutter (Slo Mo Camera) video showing the SW wing bounce at landing. At one time I almost went to a meet up at Tracy, Ca.

There is one part of a battery that has to be considered. That is the C rating.
I recently purchased a Gens Ace 60-120C 3S at 5000 Mah 12 min flight time. Compared to the 5800 Mah Turningy's 40 C that flew for 9 Min on a Quad and Ballooned after a few flights. I would suggest a higher C Rating. It might cost you double but is worth 5 times the flights with the same battery.

Is this in reference to the Skywalker? 60+C rated batteries are a totally out of spec on an aircraft such as this. These are not 3D helicopters with a 4 minute flight time and 200A bursts. They are loiterers which sip current at 1 to 15C max. My Skywalker cruises at 7.6A, which from my 3S 5000 pack is about 1.5C. Max power is about 60A, so 12C is the most it can ever pull, and that for just the briefest of moments on takeoff until about 30mph is reached. What would be the point of 60C packs when your 15C pack of the same capacity is lighter, and can therefore fly further, for longer and costs less to boot. “5 times the flitghts”? What are you talking about?

The way to puff a lipo is to keep drawing current with the cell voltage well below 3V.
Has very little to do with C rating unless you're drawing super high current
from very low C battery, and in the process pull the voltage below 3V per cell.
No Skywalker power system is capable of even maxing out a 20C 5Ah battery,
let alone a 40C or 60C one (nor are most multirotors). All you get
with a 60C battery is a lot of added weight.

5800 Mah Turningy's 40 C can take 230Amps, no way you are drawing that,

You probably discharge them too much..

Like Ian said, I use 5000Mah 20C Zippys, no problems

Nice video, this will help a lot of people understand about C ratings, amperage and watts.
