The good, the bad and the ugly?
Good find, DD! Strange that Horizon UK has it on their website before Horizon USA.
Been listening to all of the pros and cons expressed on this new heli. This is exactly the size I have been waiting for. Love the size of my SR 120, or is that the 120 SR?, but it is a pain to fly in any wind in comparison to my mCP-x. Yes, I preordered the first day Horizon posted it on their website. ![]() At 4 ounces all up weight, I am guessing it should have crash survivablity roughly on par with the 120, excepting the tail rotor mechanics. Whoops, forgot about the higher headspeed, so perhaps not! This could be the "bad." All of the time I have spent on the mCP-x should pay its dues! I am also not excited about its boom and pod looks. Ugly to me. Hopefully, someone will market some decent weight scale body alternatives. This bird should have the room to carry a few extra grams, especially if you are not into 3D flying. Dick |

130X Manual and Exploded View
Here are links to the manual and exploded view
http://www.horizonhobby.co.uk/aeroon...30x_manual.pdf http://www.horizonhobby.co.uk/aeroon...x_exploded.pdf It seems that discussion on this heli is much more active at HF. Certain points of note that have come out are 1. The 2S setup may make this heli less durable and may make a slipper clutch much more difficult to set up. 2. The contstruction is that of a sized down 450X rather than a sized up MCPx. The main frame is in two pieces which may make the heli more difficult to service. 3. The linear servos would be quite resistant to stripping. But at the same time, they do not respond as fast. 4. The stock batteries will cost over $20 each. I am going to take a wait and see attitude on this. |
