That's the original, George - photo from the old 'Model Aircraft' plan catalogue. 120 transparency from a Kodak Sterling III folding camera - good little camera and a lucky shot at Enfield Playing Fields in 1955

120? 620? Have forgotten the old film sizes I guess

Flew this little guy at the famous San Fernando Valley FF site "The Grassy Knoll" in Balboa park.
After going to 3/32" rubber from 1/8" on the advice of knowledgeable folks, I had 4 great flights. One got caught in a thermal and flew almost to Victory Blvd. before luckily turning back to the park. Let me say, this color scheme is near impossible to see against a clear blue So. Cal sky when it gets way up there. Overall, I couldn't be more stoked by the performance of this plane. By the way, I wound the motor to 650 winds with a toy electric winder.
