O Snowdog, do you think Tulsa would be prepared for the likes of us twistaholics. It would be twisted indeed. Wayne, DR, Plow, Andy what do you think?
Alan that would only be 6 hrs for you. Wayne about 4 1/2
I think October is a long time from now!! If things work out, heck yeah I'd like to go.

k49, I see in the online pics of the MX that they've got V shaped slots cut into the bottom of their cowling. I assume it's for cooling purposes. Did you cut those into yours? If not, do you think it's a good idea, or unnecessary?

Andy - Start with the 14x4W. Not to ignore Kerwin but you will not be able to tune that engine well without a tach. I have seen all the guys that try and never get it quite right. Unless you have a Kerwin Magical Ear, it ain't going to work.

I do not go to those event things. I don't like them. There are too many people. I really dislike crowds, especially when I don't know 99.99% of the people there. I am certainly not going to pay to be uncomfortable. The only things like that I go to are trade shows and then only if I am paid to be there.

I'm out on Tulsa.

I'd think about someplace closer, but Tulsa........that's a wee bit far for me this year....unless I sell a mess of magic tables. We're still recovering from that tuition bombshell and we're saving for another vehicle......which makes it tough. I'd be there in spirit though!

3DRCF is hosting a 3D BASH Series event (fly-in) at the Tulsa Glue Dobbers club at Grant Wilson Field in Tulsa Oklahoma October 10-12, 2014!

Any other twisties that around are welcome and encouraged to attend.

I'm covering the event for 3DRCF which is why I'm traveling from Chicago to Tulsa for a weekend.

I will definitely have to be home for that one, I only live about an hour and a half from that field (if it's the one I'm thinking of)

I'm hoping by October I'll have this truck paid off and be able to take a little more time off. If anyone wanted to try to fit in another day in OK, I'm sure I could host you guys at our field near Stillwater. It's kind of in the boonies, but for a 600ft petromat runway I think you could handle a little dirt road.

Then the anti social types could relax and meet a smaller group.

Gotta love that name! Mike I would be happy to bring a tent and bunk again but Cape was a stretch for me, OK is too far. Thanks for the offer.

Most of the events don't have landing fees, and there is nothing more fun then relaxing and watching the fun. Show up with a Twist, one might get picked on.

It is a long time out and the best thing is the Tornado season in mostly past.

I am not a much of a spectator and it would cost me to get there, stay there, and come back. In addition, my wife would not like it. She rarely comes to the field here.

Ya'll go have fun.

That would be awesome...in fact, I'm wearing one of my prized "Eskimo Joe's" t shirts tonight!
