Built up in 5 hours
Last week I "accidentally" visit a hobby shop Mibo, and buy four carbon rods, just in case if I find out some day what to do with them.
Well, I get an idea driving home already I remember the simplicity of known Kolibri indoor model (look at link below), so I decided to built something similar, but of course larger, for my heavier RC equipment. I want to use: BL motor ROXXY 2827-34 battery Flight Power EVO 20 800mAh 3S1p 11,1V speed controller Robbe Magic-Speed 18 pair of MS-X2 servos, because that was laying in my drawers unused... I build the model in two days, not working more than 2 or 3 hours a day. The result you can see on that video:

Nice plane! A few years back when I was making kites I found that you could "cut" that ripstop nylon with a hot soldering iron and it would cauterise the edge and keep it from fraying. Just a tip.

Ultra top vid nearly went to sleep watching
built a similar plane myself epoxyed small tee pieces [pet shop aquarium air pump tees] to join c/f rods centre wing f&r t pointing down filled down tip with epoxy, tapped out 2mm,wing bolted on through fuse can take off for trans/storage. also slide 4 tees onto wing rods pointing up for top string braces,epoxy in position Russ |
