Question
Pollsters that BLEW IT!!!!

Rasmussen ..... In a phone conversation with Business Insider today, he said the firm, like other national polling groups, simply misidentified the electorate.

REALLY...? What good are you.....

Gallop....http://www.gallup.com/poll/election.aspx It's still goofed up....

Apparently LTUP's Official "poll" was Rasmussen.....because it reflected the "correct outcome" for most of the LTUP posters.

Do you think you'll look at Nate Silvers work (538.com) any differently in the Future?

We told you that only one poll meant anything.

What was the final breakdown in popular vote as a percentage anyway?

Someone usually makes a nice list of who got the closest to the real deal.

What consideration does a poll deserve from an individual ?

Are you concerned with voting for or against a trend ?
Are you more likely to donate or vote depending on what the polls say?
Change an opinion on an issue ?

They are feedback for campaigns, I just don't see what they do for the rest of us but satisfy a bit of curiosity.

Well Obama achieved what only five Presidents ever have with the popular vote for a second term

That's just it. It's not from him. He doesn't do polls. He uses ALL the polls that everybody else takes and analyzes them adds aggregate/filters and makes a running prediction.

Is that a response to my post ?

the question is - what difference does it make if Nate is the best poll analyst ?

What use does a citizen have for any poll ?

I am drafting an in-depth explanation for exactly what happened and why in this election cycle. I may or may not share with you because its awesomeness may cause your gray matter to ooze out your ears

It will, however, be accurate in every detail

I'm having trouble understanding what point you are trying to make. Speaking for myself, Silver's analysis of the polls helped me to have a handle on who was going to win the election. This was a valuable piece of information for me to have. It helped me to deal with my curiosity and anxiety about the probable outcome.

And deficits that no president ever came close to reaching.

His welfare numbers are out of sight and his welfare expenditures have exceeded even his expectations. Votes cost more and more.

And then there is always "Fast and Furious" and Benghazi that will be continued into his next term.
