Is this old stuff or it's finaly the bike ESC from MTronics that I'm waiting for?

That's the one. That's the setup that's producing the goods here at the moment.

Has it got drag brake adjustment? If not I still rate the GTB,U-Force and even the sphere competition higher.

Drag brake was being incorporated into all the controllers. Looks like they went with a slightly hotter motor than SteveB's 8T. Better to go with the finned can version from Feigao though and ditch the adapter. I should have that wind (7T) back in stock later this week along with the 8T and 9T. I don't have the new controllers, but I can get them if the interest is there and perhaps put together some sweet preorder combo deals like I do for my car customers.

Mtroniks RIDE Esc

This is the esc and latest software that I run along with Colin McCabe (Mtroniks test rider and developer), and Steve Newey amongst others and it seems to be a very sweet package providing a lot of SMOOTH power and different settings for brakes.

The new 5800kv motor that comes in the combo is the nuts!!

You will not be dissapointed

Thanks!!!!

Is this motor brushless? (I guess so, but as I'm somehow a newby, I must ask)

And what does mean "Drag brake adjustment"?

Yep he is the Mtroniks guinea pig

The Genesis Ride is the result of over a year's tweaking and testing - the results speak for themselves

The great thing with Mtroniks is that they actually listen and are prepared to adjust their product to be at the forefront of the r/c bike racing scene.

You really have to applaud them for the development work and thank Colin for helping achieve this - but it doesn't stop there.............

I read the motor is 480... does this make it legal in 540 class motors?
And... does it mean it's a little smaller in diameter?
(Not -yet- familiar with brushless tech!)

If you're running a brushless motor you have to race in the modified or Superbike class, you can use any motor you want.
Don't get the old Mtroniks Pro motor,it's big and heavy and really taxes batteries.I had one on 2400 nicads and the batteries came off too hot to hold.
