Build Log
F-22 Raptor (EDF or pusher) with build video

As some of you know, I started a thread a few weeks back Dollar Tree Foam ... EZ-Jets to try and produce a few easy to build, cheap and cheerful models that can be either 70 mm EDF or pusher prop driven with simple swappable motor pods.

The first 2 were just that and were a success and flew great straight off the drawing board, the third took just a little more time to build and wasn't a success straight away but after a little trimming it now flies great

It was this 3rd one . The ATD-X ("Advanced Technology Demonstrator X") an experimental jobby and it was the eventual success of this one that spurred me on to finish designing my version of the F-22 Raptor

I have been asked from time to time to produce a few videos on how I build with Depron and foam board, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to combine the two

So here it is My version of the F-22 Raptor with photos and video of the build and it will have the swappable EDF or pusher prop motor pods

If you would like to catch up on the other Ez-Jet models and the plans for these and the motor pods, have a look at http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2355859

As always, your ideas and comments are always welcome

Lockey

Here is the video of the ATD-X that gave me motivation to do the F-22

New thread looks great Lockey and the videos are full of little tidbits of useful "how to" information that normally takes years of mistakes to learn. Loved the lesson on keeping the straight edge on the inside of the plans.........

Thanks again for sharing your time and knowledge with us newbies Lockey.

Lockey, I dropped in and watched one of your build videos last night; what a pleasant way to spend a few minutes with a fellow builder! I learned quite a bit and am even more motivated to move one of the EZ Jets up in my build queue.

I do hope you'll be able to 'finish' this series of build videos. What with the Internet being the ultimate time-shifting machine, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the people who end up watching these videos do so after you've finished up this thread.
