First up my first F86 Sabre running 90mm Midifan, HYK motor, 6s4000mah pack, around 1200 watts and 85mph, retracts, glassed airframe, 2.8kg AUW. Flies great, very scale, could do with some more oomph though which is why I am going to build a new one with 2000+ watts using one of our new ARC power systems.

Stuarts Windrider A380 Airbus, stunning looking model, plenty of work has gone into this thats for sure!

Stu is running nacelles from an E-flight 777 from memory with 64mm fans in each pod, I been wanting to see some video of this beauty, I bet it sounds great!

Jeremy's flyfly MIG29, pretty sure he built this one with our Midifan/HYK setup, twin 90mm fans, twin 4000mah 6s packs, and fully glassed, the finish looks fantastic!

Another of Stuarts models, this time the flyfly Hawk. Set up with Midifan/HYK combo, 4000mah 6s packs, pretty much the standard 1200 watt setup. Very smooth stable flyer but like everything could benefit from more power

My first big foamy EDF purchased from Mark in late 2008

Twin Wemotec midifans with HYK 3660 motors, each being fed by an 80A ESC and 6s 4000mAh LiPo.

Fully fibreglassed using the water-based polyurethane method.

Have recently fitted Spring Air 602 retracts which are 'just' handling our rough grass flying field - this is a heavy plane at >4kg, so retracts on grass is a challenge!

Beautiful plane to fly - very solid in the air.

Originally purchased with an alloy Lander fan/motor combo and Eagletree Seagull system.

Once we sorted the CG issues, this is a great performer.

Am in the process of testing the Spring Air 602's. Mains are good, got to do some fine-tuning with the nose gear.

Have changed-out the Lander fan for a Wemotec midi fan with an ARC 3675-1 motor which goes very nicely.

Update: After some very successful takeoffs and landings on the paddock with the Spring Air retracts, I managed to destroy the aircraft while showing off (idiot!). Time to break out my spare airframe and build Mk.II.

Update II: Mk.II Built and flown about 10 times. Note to self: don't bother trying to save money by re-using gear from a crashed airframe. I nearly lost the entire airframe twice from (1)cracked solder joints and (2)an ESC meltdown. She sure looks great in the air and on the ground!!

Very forgiving during hand-launch (see video), great to watch in the air and easy to land. One of my favourites, and better now that I've finally added ailerons to her.

Tail mods, strategically glassed, filled, sanded and painted - I think she looks pretty good! And goes as fast as I need

It looks great Dan, another guy had an F16 at the field last weekend, he did the tiger scheme and it came up really well, the painting method and paint was an interesting one and worked brilliantly.

He used the craft paints in the long clear tubes from bunnings, they have burnt orange which looks great on the F16, he painted the orange on first by hand, then the black on by hand, then airbrushed some light black mist around the edges of the black/orange transition, makes it look so much better than just sharp brush edges, I was impressed with the finish but forgot to take a photo! Will try and get one next time I see him.

This is my Mirage 2000 by Fly Fly models. I went through a tremendous journey trying to find a 90mm EDF that would serve all my purposes as 'M' would know :P....No hard feelings on yoyo'ing on my choices and making you do up so many invoices mate

I've just build her straight out of the box and I use the fixed gear as I'm to softc$#% to handlaunch my planes like the boys at PP would do. As our grassy turf doesn't suit the fixed LG, I had to use a bit of ply so that they don't rip off. Trust me, I learnt this the hard way.
I'm using Extreme's powertrain package which comprises of an ARC motor, beefy ESC and 5000mah 6s elite packs. I'm also using Extreme's recommeded MG servos all round. She is a real stunner at GMAC and already I've had some publicity on their site as she is one plane you don't really see at my club. My plans are to one day upgrade her to 8s and really tear up the skies or get another 90mm jet to add to my collection...
