Sketchup workflow ?
Can you say a few words about Sketchup workflow ?
Once you have the shell and the sections, how do you end up with the ribs ? Do you draw the ribs weight-reduction windows manually on each rib or intersect them with some 3D body ? Did you leave the ribs as just a single plane without thickness ? How did you draw the interconnection tabs on the ribs ? And finally, once you finished the model, how do you produce the layout for laser cutting ? Do you create a component from every rib, copy it and manually position somewhere ? Or does Sketchup Pro have some special facility for that that is not available in the free version ? Thanks, Sergey. |
