Help!
4blade head for 450 class - recommendation wanted.

Hi,
I have a HK 450 4blade head, but I am not happy with it. The swash plate has a tendency to come apart, the swash follower assembly has lots of slop etc.

So I am looking for a quality replacement, Scale looks is not a must. So far I have only found the ehirobo products .

What are your experiences? What can you recommend? Also, what blades do you use? I had semi-symmetrical blades from ehirobo which seemed to be kinda soft compared to regular CF blades?

Thanks for all pointers.

Check out the DEAO head...

http://www.deao-helicopter.com/

At least the swashfollower is the best in its class, the swashplate one of the sturdiest I have seen, and stability is real nice, even without FBL....

In my opinion the head itself is also very high quality, but people have had issues with wobble if the Jesus-Bolt is tightened too far. Even though it feels unnatural, fingertight shoud do it here...

Downside is that there are no other blades availlable but the ones DEAO supplies are fairly OK. I only wish he also would supply longer blades...

thanks for pointing me to DEAO. It looks like the blades cannot be folded together (two to front, two to back) for transportation though. And I would like to pertain the choice of blades - lately I had flown with semi-symetrical blades and liked it some.

The DEAO blades ARE semi-symetrical and have an excellent lift.
The blades can fold if you care to remove one bolt of each blade 1 set of opposite blades.

This head can take a hit: I "crashed" mine when the skids got fouled in some high grass, toppling over the heli under power (rather violently even), but I only damaged one servo (stripped gear), stripped the main gear and did not even bend the mainshaft.

It is definitely a very good head, but of course, if you crash at full speed, everything can break...
