Bearcat in-flight pic

I added a new pic of my Ryan F8F Bearcat in flight to my web page. The photo was taken by Mark Nankivil at the St Genivieve fly-in this past April.

you can see it here: http://www.geocities.com/jbrundt/bearcat.html

Kudos to Mark for an excellent photo!!!

I took ALOT of pics like this saturday and sunday at the flying club here in Branson, MO. I should have them back tomorrow from K-Mart, so I hope at least one or two will be that good! Thats not easy to do. I sure would be interested in knowing what kind of set-up he used for the photos. I was using a pentax super program, with 80-200mm zoom. I was zoomed out all the way to fill the frame with airplane, but that might be my downfall! Guess we'll see soon.....Chris

Wow! After seeing that picture, a voice inside my head told me that I should buy one of those Ryan Aircraft warbirds...

Does anybody know, does these kits have a retailer in Europe?

Dizamn, that's a sweet looking plane. I'm thinking of building one of those from MAN plans...

Good work!

Sorry to nitpick, but I think the Dornier Arrow was the fastest WWII prop-driven plane (it had two 1900 hp Mercedes V12's and a prop at each end!). Your model does look lovely, though...

Bearcat

The F8-F was the Fastest Single Engine Fighter during the WWII Era. I just ordered the Jim Ryan kit Tuesday. Can't wait to start building her. Your kit came out awsome. Earl

Mike

I believe that Gordon Tarling here in the UK sells the Ryan Bearcat.

His website is www.gordontarling.co.uk
