Welder Glue and Lowe's

I have just found out that Lowe's stores will stop selling Welder glue. This product is made in Bellingham, Washington, and I called the company to find out where else I could buy the glue and was told that Lowe's is their only outlet. Now that's putting all your eggs in one basket !! I called Lowe's corporate office this morning and they confirmed that they were not selling the glue any more....
Here are my thoughts on this: I told the customer service rep at Lowe's corporate that if they were not selling enough of the product to justify keeping it, that it is not the consumer's fault because we can't locate it in the stores. If you go to the customer service desk and ask for Welder glue, they can't find it in the computer...you have to have the item number to find it, then the hired help can't find it in the store because they move it's location at random.
I told the manufacture that only selling to Lowe's was dumb, and their reply was that they don't try to market the glue, and if Lowe's stops selling it, they may not produce it anymore.
I know there are other glues that will bond EPP, but this is a good product that may die off because of marketing idiots with their head up their ( you fill in the blank ).
So pardon my ranting, but here is the number for Lowe's corporate..1-704-758-1000, and the item number for the product is 74526. The number for the manufactire is on the back of the blister card.

Beacon foam-tac. I like it better than Welder's for all of my foam construction.

Khen at Rcplanebuilder dot com uses Goop for the hinges, and I think it would work for assembly also..

rcfoam.com can ship Foam-Tac ground to Canada. It's cheaper than Welders, Goop, or UHU as far as I know.

Really? I've been making hinges with Foam-Tac exactly the same way I made them with Welders. It works just fine.

Hmm... I've only tried once, and seemed to be waaaay to stiff when cured... I retract that statement.

Confirm that using Beacon Fabric-Tac (supposedly the same as Foam-Tac) which I've tested on MPF for hinging and bonding both with good results. Not as flexible as Welder's, but seems serviceable. Loosens up noticeably after flexing 7-8 times.

My wife got the Fabric-Tac I have at Wal-Mart years ago. It's been on the shelf so long I could barely squeeze any out. Thinned with acetone to a usable consistency and away-we-go.

Check record 18525 for a Foam-Tac on MPF hinge demo.

I think I've got some EPP scraps to test on, if so I will try the Fabric-Tac on it as well..

You can order Welders direct from the manufacturer with free shipping for orders over $9.95.

I tried Foam Tac and felt it was too thick, maybe I got an old package.

JohnVH, what I got from the company is this: their major outlet is Lowe's, with a few smatterings in Washington. Point is if Lowe's droppes it, the remaining sales won't justify production costs, so the product is eleminated.

BTW, "4-eye Foxes" are the best !!
