FMS F4U Corsair 1700mm

Corsair44, you would get a great plane with some minor mods needed to fly without any issues. It does fly great out of box but to keep flying well there are some minor issues to address. Then for longer term some additional issues may creep up that are no more or less likely to happen with any plane.
Here the best summary:

Just getting around to balancing the new props from Diamond .
Perhaps I missed it but did anyone address the small nibs that have to be removed from each prop in order for them to seat properly ?
I double checked to make sure there was not a small hole to receive the nib but it appears to be a simple manufacturing "extra" .
Just want to make sure this is not unusual
see the white arrow below
Thanks

That's odd!! Part of the molding process? Or has its it some part of the design to guide the prop into the hub?

Anyone buy a hub recently?

You have a bad hub. There should be a small slot the nib fits into. It is to help hold the blades in the hub.

I've used the new blades with the nub and and "old" hub. I know others here have posted the same and we cut the little nubs off. No issues!
I think if the manufacturer changes the blade design they should either make sure it is reverse compatible or at least put a warning in the bag if it is not.
