Not sure if you want to know what I mean, or what the maneuver is....

Tony Frackowiak performs the most beautiful reverse point roll I have ever seen. He performed it on a regular basis at the 2011 and 2012 So Cal Classic Pattern Get-Together. He started it about as far to the left as you can imagine and ended it an equal distance to the right. No drop in elevation, do change in direction, no change in speed. INCREDIBLE.

The reverse point roll roll is three points one direction followed by three points the other direction. (Tony, please chime in here.)

Oh and for the record, inside outside rolling circle in the FAI F11, one roll per quadrant, rolling one way, then the other, starting inverted.

If we're talking classic, the ol' figure M is a fave.

Slow rolls the full length of the field. Still perfecting it but I get compliments when I pull a nice one.

It's big. It's bold. And if you can make the squares square (not rectangles like mine usually are) then you are all that.

For me it's the stretched end-to-end 8-10 second slow roll performed on a fast low pass inverted at show center. It's not a competition maneuver but definitely the pattern show maneuver of that era.

Pretty much all of the maneuvers we mentioned in this thread are in this video - Chip Hyde with Dr. Jekyll:

He started with a stretched slow roll followed by the reverse point roll. What an inspiration to watch from one of the best! After consecutive rolls and the obligatory figure M, he moved on to the TOC maneuvers of the day - rolling circles, rolling loops and ended with a knife edge loop which was very special at the time.

Those first 5 maneuvers are pretty much what classic pattern is about! This was the long stroke era but he flew it fast, just like how we remembered it for classic pattern...

When you make that first corner to inverted with the Vertigo on the 65AX, that thing pounds the ground. Especially when were practicing at Sepulveda and you're in close!

I always liked the Top Hat with 1/4 rolls for a cross-box maneuver in my Pitts Special.
But if we're talking Classic Pattern, Slow Rolls and Point Rolls are my nemesis so I always watch the greats with rapt attention.
