No need to model both individually. Solidworks is capable of pulling a parting line and making the mold based off your model. Make the model first and then go to the mold tools.
I would volunteer to make this but I can not make something perfect from your sketch. I do not know if there is any curve to the surfaces as I am not familiar with the glider specs.

If you have a solid model, the core and cavity (both sides of the mold) woiuld take only a couple minutes to model.

I can provide the airfoil of each surface, just not sure what the easiest way to do this is, the vertical is symmetrical and the horizontal is more flat bottomed.

If you put the file in .dxf, I might be able to take a look at what your doing. My software won't open your version of .sldprt.

Issue is pulling a solid from the foils in question. I could only extract a surface.

I just came across this thread and have a recommendation for a very good video tutorial set. If your time is worth anything then you can't afford not to spend the $150 for the full set. When your stuck just reference the one of hundreds of short to the point videos and your on your way. No more looking for the "any" key. I can't comment on your file because I am running 2010 and 2011 won't open for me.

Ob, nice to hear from you. I sent the files to many machinests that quoted very high prices i could not afford. Then last year i met someone that could do the work much cheaper but wanted to model in mastercam. I have since got the molds as you may have seen based off our geometry minus the wing canopy fairing.
Problem- the final surface area is to large behind the wing. Costing a overall weight issue and a cg issue.

I have since modified dimensions and redrawn, waiting ti machine this month.

I am not good enough to make the world team or have enuff money to travel if i was qualified.

Are you and your son flying? Any dlg or still slopers?

I did purchase a cnc router......

And working on a geodesic type dlg.
