Well, I suppose you're right about the cheap part, at least for these DLG receiver packs. Might better just buy new. I'm going through the process of putting some 8S 5000 packs into a storage state and during my idle time I posted this thread. My RX packs are very new. I'm going to put them at storage charge too. If I had flown them all season, I'd be inclined to replace them.

I store my batteries in the winter...3.8ish volts and the cool of the basement is just fine. As long as the batteries are not freezing or frying you're in pretty good shape...60-70F steady temp is just fine.
I have some packs that are 3-4 years old and still test to 90% or more of their "when new" capacity. The fridge trick is smart if you don't have temp controlled storage available, like in a garage, however if your unheated garage is in Minnesota where it can be below zero for a week, your fridge might just turn into a freezer
