Thinking of getting myself the updated cyclops osd, cloverleaf antennas and dragon link2 for Christmas. I've been good, Santa agrees. This would give me return to home auto pilot and endless range for my radio controller for my purposes. I honestly don't want to fly far away, I just want to go high. Absolutely no desire to swoop over the city. Just want to go to the clouds...

I have bought two 7" dvd player from ebay about 6 months ago. The dvd player doesnt work but the monitor has AV In and thats what i need so its been sitting in my room for a while now until i get the rest of FPV stuff. If you need me to bring that to the field just let me know. I got both of them from ebay for about 35.00...

I posted here about your experiance and it started a fairly sprited discussion. iBCrazy is well respected in FPV and suggests starting with a 72 Mhz setup. Most everyone agrees that a 1.5 watt Tx causes many more problems then it solves.

I'm no expert for sure but it seems to me a 500 Mw Tx is the best of both worlds with just enough power to not cause issues with on-board components.

The requirement are over built range with cost not a huge concern.
Of course not sure how to do it...
Lots of people are accomplishing this so I should as well some how

Also keep in mind 72 MHz may not be a good option for me as I don't have a modular radio. That and i spent $500 buying a 2.4MHz radio already. Something like Dragon link just plugs into my 2.4 MHz

If I was a guessing man I would just say I flew out of range radio last week.
It's hard to say with those goggles on and I know I need to be careful much more careful next time
