At least you got out in the fresh air with your buddies and your gyro was in one piece at the end of the day.

It does concern me that the rotors are not spinning up fast enough. Did you include the bevel on the trailing edges? Let us know how it goes next time? Oh....what is your over all weight?

True about the great day.

But have to say I have the shakes Model weighs about 7 lbs with fuel and rotors.

I did bevel the aft underside as the plans say. I am not worried about the head speed. I am sure with a little headwind and a glowplug I should be pretty successful

I wish I could get mine down to 7 lbs.! Mine is like over 9 lbs. and it flies so you will have no worries. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!

Hey Matt,
Yes...try to wait for a day when it can sit on the runway and spin up. I have a hard time too on a no wind day....just because that landing gear is so scale and doesn't lean back those blades.
Wait for a 5-10 mph day and you'll have more luck! And stop buying those cheap glowplugs! LOL!
Try again and give me a call when it flies!

I was looking over your build. It looks excellent! If you are still having problems getting your blades to come up to speed you might want to shim them a little to give it more negative pitch. I never did because I didn't want to loose lift but since you are at 7 lbs...that thing should be a floater!

Great pics! Best ones I've seen yet. I've seen a lot of pictures of Miss Champion from that museum, seems like a tough place to get a good pictures but your turned out fine.

Where is your store located at? Have you flown your PCA-2? I'm getting ready to start building one. Got to get a few things done around the house first.

The store is located in Union KY. I am trying to open by the 15th of October....We'll see
