At least the middle hul stays clear of the water! Should stop any water gettin it, turned mine on its side and the only place water got in was the rudder arm gatter things Hopeing to get out this week again for a sail, the waterbuoy inflates when it goes under water and a bollon fills with gas and lifts upto 1kg ( bit like a auto inflate lifejacket ) ![]() Mr Penguin you win respect from all rock your world sailer! lol ![]() Dan |

Congratulations mrpenguin and welcome to the club! ![]() Looks familiar to me. But since I use a float on the mast, it looks better this way ![]() I am usually looking for onshore-wind-conditions, after capsizing it won't take more than five minutes to be on track again. Well, sailing is water-sports and it is fun!

Thanks Boomer,
must have been 4 - 5 Bft, perhaps a bit more, but allways too much for both rigs. On high winds, you need a fast sheeting-out, most winches cannot handle. Since I use arm-winches, I got much more performance! Not sure, but the winch could be a problem for the volans. wolfgang |

I guess I win for posting the photo of the inverted Volans, but the owner/skipper is a couple of hundred Km from me in Lauderdale, Tasmania, Australia, likewise the photographer, so I shall not be claiming credit for the capsize, the photo or the (successful) rescue.... (without a fishing rod like our friend earlier in the thread...)
