When the elevator servo is actuated on my Bixler, the push rods cause the tail to wag slightly left and right. Is this normal? I've already reinforced the tail with a 4mm CF rod on the inside, and there is a 3mm CF rod along the fuselage bottom (in the groove).

EDIT: I managed to reduce the wag with further reinforcement.

I like the NACA ducts but I just want to try something different this time. I have NACA ducts on my EDFs too (see Squall picture with Naca duct). There is another reason I went with the 3/4" round air inlet. If I decide to do any nightflying mods the 3/4" hole is a perfect place for a nice big bright LED headlight if I decide to add one later.

Or, get a plastic spoon and cut the spoon tip off and bingo! Air intake/duct

I thought about going this route, but given that the above kit enables the air ducts to look sweet at only $4, I can't pass it up .

The tip off? I take the handle end off. See my blog, a picture there. Note in and out scoops on both sides. The outlet is over the servo hole.

Cut the tip off to use the tip; effectively cutting the handle off we're talking about the same things

I want to know how you like the flaps, I have my radio set up to make my ailerons function as flaps, but I don't notice any difference at all except for reduced aileron effectiveness.I have thought of adding flaps as you have, but the reason I would like to do so, is to slave the ailerons and flaps together through radio programing so that When soaring up High and with the nose pointed into the wind, I could slightly lower both ailerons and flaps to see if I could gain a little more lift, kinda like and undercambered airfoil.

First is FLAPS. Nothing special. Span and length are equal to ailerons. Pinned hinges and another HTX900 servos. I reversed one servo by myself without any additional modules (weight). If someone needs photos or have questions, just ask.

The reinforcement you already had would make vertical motion just about impossible, but would not help too much for horizontal motion. A couple of pieces of carbon fiber, one on each side, would take care of that. And it would not have to be anything heavy either. Some of that very thin CF rod used on indoor flyers would be more than enough. But I would first check to see that your end points are not set so that it is trying to force the elevator beyond it's physical limits. Also make sure the elevator hinges are binding up. Not sure why they might, but if the elevator is resisting the servo it might cause the rear of the fuse to move.
