are you talking about the pinion or the 2nd bull gear or the 3rd bull gear on the shaft?

misskimo: both. If you can tell me the overall ratio for a given pinion size that will do. Thanks

The overall ratio with the stock pinion is 26.92:1, according to James Wangs article in SE Modeler Magazine.

BTW, I just bought a brushed Trinity D4 13x4 motor to test in my Voyager while I investigate going brushless. It should give me around 1473 RPM with the stock pinion. I may bump the gear up by one to get more RPM, since the motor is supposed to have more torque. Of course, I'll post my results.

I have heard the overseas version of Voyager comes with a different stock pinion. In the US they come with 15T.

So depending on where you got your kit from, your headspeed may vary. :-)

The stock pinion is 15 teeth.
The intermediate gear has 70 teeth and 17 teeth.
The main gear has 85 teeth.

Thanks logo20heli for some real numbers.

Given this detail, the numbers published in Wang's article must have been for a 13T pinion. He didn't list the pinion size in the article.

So the stock US model with a 15T pinion has a ratio of 23.33:1, not 26.92:1.

Sorry, but the thought of counting all those teeth made me dizzy
