Hobby Lobby EPO Mig 15!

Hey guys,
Here's the latest in laid back EPO fun. Same family as our EPO F-86, but has been improved with carbon reinforcements in the wing and tail.

Jason Cole

MIG-15 EPO Jet ARF

Fast, Tough, No frills fun at a great price
Our Mig has a 28" wingspan, is 28" long and has a flying weight of 18-1/2 oz. Looking for a jet that you can take anywhere and fly at a moments notice? Look no further, the Mig-15 is a receiver-ready EPO jet that is pre-painted and ready to assemble in about an hour. The wings and tail are reinforced with carbon tubes for a solid and reliable airframe. Designed for simple everyday flying, the model is hand launched and lands on the reinforced drop tanks.

Includes a 64mm ducted fan with a 4300Kv outrunner brushless motor and 30 amp controller with BEC. A 1600mAh 3-cell LiPo battery (pre-connected with genuine Deans Ultra connectors) supplies the power. Three 9-gram servos are pre-installed and ready to plug into your radio equipment; a minimum of 3 channels is required. The large battery hatch is held in place by magnets making battery swaps quick and easy. Easy to hand launch, the model handles easily and is a solid performer with good speed and a quick roll rate. Landings are low anxiety events due to the slow approach speed and the tough airframe.

Mig-15 EPO Jet ARF Specs:

* Wingspan: 28 in.(711mm)
* Length: 28 in. (711mm)
* Flying weight: 18.5 oz. (524g)
* 64mm EDF
* 4300Kv outrunner brushless motor
* 3-cell, 11.1V, 1600 mAh 20C lipo battery with genuine Deans Ultra connector
* 30A speed control with BEC and genuine Deans Ultra connector
* Wing and Horizontal tail reinforced with 3mm carbon tube
* Three 9 gram Servos
* No Landing gear

Yes! My prayers have been answered. As much as I'd like to buy from Hobby Lobby, it just isn't worth it with the shipping cost to Australia. Lets hope it is released locally. I wonder who makes it.......

flyboone,
Any flying vids available? I'm tempted...

However, surely, you're also working on an A-6 and A-7 ?!?!? Whoever between HL and JPower 50mm series that comes out with these first gets my $$$.

I miss my Arttech Mig. I flew into a light pole and destoyed it. A friend of mine spent hours repairing it and its flying again. I get all teary eyed everytime he flies it. Cant find anywhere that sells the Artech kit only so this will have to do.

LOL I know the feeling supercub....this might be a good replacement...I'll probably opt for an upgrade using a wicked 4800 and 2200mah batteries. Should see it as fast as my f9f panther using the same stuff

They both are Freewing jets. PW-RC has the F-86, so I bet he will have the Mig soon. Interestingly enough, I just ordered the F-86 from HL. Hmmm - may have to get the arch-enemy too!

My only qualm is the oversized intake. But I'd rather have that that than a cheater hole.

You think the airframe only version will be offered? This would be nice with Don`s 4800?

Aaargh - just bought a Squall. I looked some time for a small mig 15, but the alfa is to fragile for me. Ok next time this one The Mig 15 is imho THE classic jet and an extraordinary BEAUTY.

Great companion release to the Skyblazers F86. Will be fun to dogfight this one with it! I also love the Alfa Mig 15 but it can be a little,er, delicate. I have not hopped up my Skyblazer F86 but I am thinking maybe I'll get one of these Migs and stuff a little hotter power system in it, since it has some carbon reinforcing in it.

I cant see any kind of spar at all to help strengthen the wing. The Arttech Mig had a spar. Does anyone think this will be a problem in a high speed set-up? Still very interested by the way.
