Yippee!
Chino Hills slope site aka the Tank Official thread

Due to recent confusion between this slope and the similar named one in Riverside I decided to make a thread for it. This slope is located at:

La Sierra Drive Trailhead. Corner of La Sierra Drive and Monteverde Drive. La Sierra Trail Loop in Chino Hills, CA.

It is a west wind hill with a very large flying area. Lift is normally 6-8mph but can blow up to 12-15 mph on really good days. It is a great spot for light ships are electric assisted gliders. I've even seen several guys with large 3 meter ships flying here as well, hopefully they will chime in. Please post pics, when you are flying, etc.

Slope is a drive and fly hill. It has a very, very large soft landing spot but be weary as it is close to houses.

So bring a pee bottle in your car . People from Kansas say it's the greatest since 2 ply corn cobs.
This plane would not fly there

Why thank you Mat . It's from a piece of scrap foam. But it did not penetrate and got blown all over h---. It only weighs 5 oz. So I taped a couple rocks and 4 quarters on it and it was better. Just not flying good yet.

I might be able to make it to Tank Hill this coming Thursday evening. The first outing a couple of weeks ago was so much fun; I can't wait to fly there again.
