JJRC H8C - control questions

Hi, I am new to this, its my first drone and I am struggling. I cannot help but crash this thing.

I have tried adjusting trims but when i go up it goes back and left, is it really supposed to be stable? and go straight up?

next question, how do i use headless mode? not sure its going to make it easier, but i cannot find it on any instructions how to enable?

Ive ordered some bearings and motors just incase but so far ive been in a few trees

Is there a way to make it level out? it would be ideal to learn with if it would stop at say 20ft but it just goes either continuously up or down, there seems to be no way to keep it at a set height?

Hi Jase,

Try centering all your transmitter trims, then doing a calibration (Both sticks bottom left untill the H8's lights flash/stop flashing). Do this on a known level surface. Headless mode/direction calibration is both sticks bottom right..again, wait for lights to stop flashing. Headless activation is probably done with either the throttle trim, OR pressing down on the right stick. Sorry, i haven't got a headless model. Mine are Mk1's.

Here is a link to a wealth of info. Its a different/latest model, but all models are interlinked.

PS, there is no set height. It has no barometer. It is all manual throttle.
