Have Traplet corrected the RPG errors they appear to have generated earlier in the year?

Not heard a thing since 30th July but I have done some significant testing and advised over on RCMF on what should be done if someone has been unlucky enough to purchase an altered kit or plan. I have not heard anything back from this advise as yet.
My machine has been ballasted up with the stated larger blades fitted and it flies really well even with the added mass. The blades were also tried on someone elses model at our last fly-in and they flew that fine too.They create the extra lift needed and slow an 'original' RPG right down to walking pace. Infact its quite funny to see as the blades are spinning far slower than you would think.

I work freelance for Traplet Publications - I produce the CAD files for the laser cutting, along with all the general CAD and design work.

Your post on RCMF and here has come to light at TPL, and we're somewhat alarmed at the suggestion that TPL have somehow altered the RPG plan in some way.

Your original plan has been scanned and that has been used to trace the parts for the wood pack. After some initial kits had gone out, we had some complaints that various parts didn't fit... Close scrutiny, some CAD modelling and building several part kits revealed a problem with the mast front and back being the wrong length on the plan, and the bends in the sides of the fuselage floor were in the wrong place.

These issues were corrected in the kits and the plan. Nothing has been altered in the nose or the U\C, and no changes have been mode to the geometry of the model.

The suggestion that we have added 100 grams of wood is bizzare...
We need to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible - please reply to my email address - ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I am happy to meet up and discuss the issue as mentioned before several times, you are only 20 mins away from me and its not a problem. If you like I can bring along my 2 models to compare weights to yours ,you are welcome to fly the larger thicker blades to see the difference that I have mentioned?

i have drawings for the RGP which i purchused from Traplet around May 2011 these were the Quiet & Electrical Flight version,can anybody tell me are these the correct drawings please?

That looks very similar to one that I purchased a couple of weeks ago from a local "cheap as chips"shop 1.6 mtr span. Glass rods in LE are 1.1mtr long.
$10.0 AUS / US....that's cheap....and I may even have a use for it soon.

Thanks for that video Rich, you have now got me looking at flexwings and I came across mark675's postings, only to discover most gyronuts here are already in on it

Now I need to find a cheap kite that will fit the Fire Fly

I would need to see them to be sure but I am pretty sure they are the "wrong" ones. I built from this plan and had "issues". Best wait till Rich gets it sorted.
